Addressing the challenge of measuring the illicit financial flows
Turin (Italy), 7 January 2018. UNICRI is currently implementing an initiative that aims at creating new knowledge on the progress and challenges associated with measuring and achieving Goal 16 of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
A new exhibition, United for Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, will be open in the South Wall of the Conference Buildings (1st floor) of United Nations Headquarters in New York on 20 May and will be displayed until 31 May.
The exhibit organized by UNICRI, with the support of the Permanent Mission of Italy to the UN, is centred around Goal 16 of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development on promoting peaceful, just and inclusive societies, free from crime and violence.
The inaugural Ceremony of the 2019 edition of the Master of Laws in Transnational Crime and Justice (LL.M) will be held on 4 February 2019 at the United Nations Campus in Turin. The Master is organised by UNICRI in partnership with the University for Peace (UPEACE).
UN Day marks the anniversary of the entry into force in 1945 of the UN Charter. With the ratification of this founding document by the majority of its signatories, including the five permanent members of the Security Council, the United Nations officially came into being.
A senior level official with many years of experience in international organizations and the private sector, Ms. Bettina Tucci Bartsiotas, will lead the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI). The new Director a.i. of UNICRI brings to the Institute a wealth of senior-level experience in the management of complex international organizations, with emphasis on strategic planning, programme design, budgeting and finance.
