From 30 September to 4 October 2024, the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) conducted its third "Train-the-Trainer" session for instructors from the national security and law enforcement training institutions of Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine. The session focused on countering radiological and nuclear (RN) trafficking through an intelligence-based approach. The training was facilitated by the Nuclear Security Centre of Excellence under the State Border Guard Service of Lithuania and was held at the Medininkai State Border Guard School.
The second edition of the Days of Legality – Open Spaces in Closed Places - will take place in Turin from 10th to 13th October, with the theme A Direct Path to the Heart. This year, the event will explore legality through an unusual lens – emotions and passions – focusing on its most human aspects.
The European Group on Gender and Drugs (EDG), coordinated by the European Union Drugs Agency (EUDA) and the Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe, together with UNICRI (United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute), the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) and several drug experts from various countries, is organising the second symposium on gender and drugs on 22 October 2024 at the Lisbon Congress Centre.
